About Kenponet

Tech, explained without the jargon. Who we are, what we cover across AI, Gadgets, Software, Security and The Web, how we report and correct our work, and how to reach the Kenponet editorial desk.

Kenponet is an independent publication covering the AI, gadgets, software and online habits that shape an ordinary day of technology. Tech, explained without the jargon — written for everyday tech users who want to understand the tools they rely on, not just buy the next one, and published on a simple premise: the people who actually do this work deserve the version that survives contact with it.

Why Kenponet exists

Coverage of AI, Gadgets, Software, Security and The Web tends to split into two unhelpful halves: press releases with a byline attached, and commentary from people who have never had to ship, buy, or live with the thing being discussed. Kenponet was started to sit in the gap — close enough to the subject to know what actually changed, far enough from it to say so plainly.

Our editorial voice is deliberate: plain-spoken, curious and a little playful. We write the way a friend who actually read the manual would explain it: what it does, why it matters, what to switch on and what to ignore. That shows up as explainers, how-to guides, reviews, head-to-head comparisons, ranked lists and features — whichever format answers the question a reader actually arrived with, rather than whichever one fills the most space.

Who writes here

Every piece on Kenponet carries the name of the person who reported and wrote it. 3 writers currently file for us across AI, Gadgets, Software, Security and The Web, and each of them keeps a profile page listing their background, their beat, and everything they've published on this site.

Where a story has been independently fact-checked, the reviewer is credited separately from the writer, so you can tell who reported a claim and who checked it. Nothing here is published under a house byline or an invented persona.

What we cover

How we work

  1. We report before we opine

Analysis on Kenponet starts from something checkable — a filing, a release, a data set, a conversation with someone who was in the room. Where we're inferring rather than reporting, the piece says so in the sentence that does the inferring.

  2. Corrections happen in public

When we get something wrong we fix it in place and note the correction on the article itself, with what changed and when. We don't quietly edit a mistake out of the record.

  3. Commercial relationships never buy coverage

Some links may be sponsored. Our editors choose what we cover, and no company pays to shape a review. Sponsored links are marked where they appear and carry the appropriate link attributes. No sponsor sees a story before publication, and no commercial relationship decides whether a topic gets covered or what we conclude about it.

  4. We write for the person doing the work

This site is written for everyday tech users who want to understand the tools they rely on, not just buy the next one — not for a search engine, and not for an industry insider looking to be flattered. If a piece can't survive being read by someone who does this for a living, it isn't ready to publish.
